Åsa Bittel

Åsa Bittel graduated from the University of Stockholm in 1987 with a Master in law and began her carreer at the International Court of Arbitration at ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) in Paris after which she worked at EFTA (European Free Trade Association) in Geneva where she have lived since then. At EFTA she held positions at the Legal department and at the Secertary General’s Office. 
She continued her carrer at the legal department at Richemond Group which holds among other trademarks Cartier, Piaget, Baume & Mercier etc, after which she worked almost 20 years at a small firm based in Geneva specialized in Intellectual property where Åsa was responsible for the worldwide trademark and design violations for in particular GUCCI. At the same time, she was providing the Swedish community in Geneva-Lausanne area with various legal expertise. 
In 2011 Åsa became a member of the Swedish Bar Association and has since then been praticing as an Attorney-at-law at her own lawfirm specialized in International Private Law, in particular cross border family law. 
She shares office with an International Law firm called ”Bonnard Lawson Internation Law Firm” which has offices in Lausanne, Bruxelles, Paris, Shanghai and in Dubai in addition to Geneva. 
Åsa is also registered at the Geneva Bar as a Swedish ”Advokat” which allows her to practise and represent her clients at Court and before Authorities both in Sweden and in Switzerland. 
At the Swedish Bar Association Åsa holds the position as Auditor of the Foreign Section which includes all swedish attorneys-at-law praticing outside Sweden. 
Åsa has held a position for 6 years as the representative of the Swedish National Agency for Education (Skolverket) at the Swedish School in Geneva.  
She is the representative of the swedish auction house Bukowskis in Switzerland. 
Åsa was born in Danderyd, Stockholm. She is 52 years and has two sons 20 and 22 years old , one who study Economics at St. Gallen University and the other at the Federal Polytechnique School in Lausanne. 
Åsas main interests are Art, Skiing and Travel. She is bi-national Swedish/Swiss and is fluent in French and English in addition to her swedish mother tongue.
