Mentor International has a deep and strong commitment to supporting youth in many countries. One of our most established member organizations, Mentor Arabia, runs programs throughout the Arab Region from its base in Beirut, Lebanon.

Mentor International was selected as a Laureate in 2019 “International Contribution to Arab Society Award” category by Takreem Foundation‘s Jury Board for playing a key role in inspiring present and future generations of Arab youth. “It is a great honor to accept this award. We believe the Arab world, in spite of many challenges, remains a place of initiatives, creativity, positive thinking, and entrepreneurship. This is important to convey to youth,” says Yvonne Thunell, Chairman of Mentor International / Mentor Foundation.

Initially scheduled for November 2019 and postponed several times due to an unrelentless series of crises that have shaken Lebanon since last October, the ceremony was filmed in-studio and aired on LBCI (Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International) on November 29th, 2020. Mentor International, together with other laureates and community members from all around the world, took part virtually in the ceremony adjusted for the pandemic. A special documentary was also produced for the occasion in celebration of Takreem’s 10th anniversary.
