The month of December will be a big one for Mentor. Both CFHILL and SEB have created events on its behalf.

CFHILL have curated an exhibition “Mentors” by Sandra Weil that features some of the most innovative and ambitious artists creating work today. All have been mentors to their community, pushing ideas around race, mediums, conversation, and artistic creation and using their medium to make a difference, acting as a “mentor”in a credible and authentic way.

The exhibition highlights controversial evictions of Bedouins in Israel, American slavery history, deforestation, riots, refugee deaths in the Mediterranean and the situation of indigenous peoples are in focus in the upcoming exhibition where part of the sales proceeds go to Mentor’s youth mentoring programs. Among the artists are Olafur Eliasson, Barbara Kruger and Marie-Louise Ekman.

In connection with this, Mentor’s long-term partner, SEB has sponsored a series of events to help raise funds to support Mentor programs. Starting with an auction dinner in the presence of HM Queen Silvia of Sweden, Mentor’s founder and President, and followed by two Private Banking events that bring SEB customers closer to art and Mentor.

Following this collaboration, Moderna Museet’s art educator Maria Taube will run a series of youth art workshops specifically for Mentor youth. Five workshops will be held for young people aged 13–17 to learn the connection between image and language and also get insight into the career field of art and museums.

”Mentor has a relevance, especially in these times. We are happy to be able to contribute to their programs and goals.”Michael Storåkers, co-founder and chairman of the board, CFHILL.
