In December, SEB and CFHILL hosted a series of fundraising events on behalf of Mentor. All together, the efforts brought in more than 4 million SEK to invest in mentoring programs that, in turn, help create a more resiliant, integrated and inclusive society.
The events included a vernissage, dinner, auction, client mingles, as well as the launch of a newly developed youth pilot project with Modernamuseet.
The centerpiece of the collaboration was a exhibition titled “Mentors” curated at CFHILL by Sandra Weil. The exhibition highlighted mentoring for social impact and included subjects such as refugees, slavery, and indigious populations. Artists included Olafur Eliasson, Barbara Kruger and Marie-Louise Ekman.
The auction dinner, sponsored by SEB, was in the presence of Mentor’s founder, honorary President and Chairman, H.M. Queen Silvia. The donations included fine art, jewellery, travel, food, and entertainment. There was also a surprise performance by Carola Häggkvist.
The event announced a newly formed Mentor cooperation with Modernamuseet’s art educator Maria Taube, resulting in a series of youth art workshops to explore the connection between image and language, as well as gain insight into careers in the art world.
SEB also took the opportunity to invite Private Banking clients to a series of exhibition mingles to help raise awareness for Mentor’s youth mentoring.
Thanks to all who made this possible including SEB, CFHILL, auction donors and participants.
